Welcome to the Sword of the Sea Trophy Guide! Sword of the Sea is the newest game from Giant Squid, who previously developed Abzû and The Pathless. Similar to The Pathless, Sword of the Sea focus on fast fluid movement throughout the game world, but in a similar manner to snowboarding games that allow performing tricks around the environment while progressing through the story.
Trophy-wise the game requires finding all collectibles, a 2 hour speedrun, and playing through New Game+. Get all Collectibles first, then do the 2 hour NG+ speedrun. The game can be finished in 1-1.5 hours, so the 2 hour requirement is quite lenient.
Sword of the Sea has 163 collectibles that are required for trophies/achievements. Each collectible type has its own cumulative trophy or individual trophy for rideable animals and frogs.
None of the collectibles are missable and progress saves between playthroughs. You can collect any missed collectibles in New Game+ or Chapter Select after your first playthrough, with the exception of Water Points. Water Points have a gameplay aspect in each level and are reset each time you play through a chapter, so if you don’t earn the trophy for fully restoring water to a location during a chapter, you need to collect all of them in that chapter again to earn the trophy/achievement.
You can see your total number of secret shells collected in the pause menu, but Chapter Select doesn’t keep track of how many per level you have collected.
